RB20 NA? Can I put a turbo on it?

I'm getting my first project car soon. It's a '89 Cefiro with RB20DE in it.

Since NA RB20 is lacking power, what do I need to replace to put a turbo on this engine? 

How much boost can I push with stock internals and ECU?

A full turbo system would cost me 1/3 up to the same price of RB25DET (w/o transmission). Is it worth it to turbo it instead of doing the swap?

 

I'm really new to engine mods and stuff, never done any of them before. So, any information I could get for my questions gonna help me a lot!

Can you ? Of course you can. Should you? That's another matter. Millions of words have been written on both these questions so just google the questions and you will have plenty of suggestions.

In my opinion that straight looking car deserves an RB25 DET at least!

Save your money and buy some wheels and tyres. Unless you drop in a stock turbo motor, you'll be wasting time and money..
