RB25 Water Pump Query

Hey all,

I'm in the process of changing my timing belt and I'd like to know what peoples preference is on the water pump's gasket.

The Gates kit i purchased came with a Water-pump gasket, but from having a look around i see that 99% of people recommend to use a RTV.

Is the gasket ok? or would it be best to use some threebond reddish brown RTV?

I use "Permatex Ultra Black High Temp RTV". Works well for me and I've never encountered any leaks.

Threebond 1207C. Threebond specifically is actually what the Nissan genuine sealant is, execpt for double the price.
