R32 GTR Vs GTS Body shell

HI all new to the group today and looking for some info, sorry if I have missed a post that may have this info.

My question is how different is a R32 GTST body shell from a GTR- (bolt on panels excluded)

I believe the rear 1/4s are wider on the GTR but what about the main body shell and 2wd vs 4wd layout etc.

Front subframe is completely different. 4WD subframe will not bolt into RWD chassis.

Rear guards are, or course, different.

Fuel tank is different.

ok ask expected, so the chassis rails are a lot different or a lot ? also is the floor pan/bulk head different?

The chassis rails are different at the front. Not at the rear.

Hi mate

i have done this conversion my self not straight forward but not impossible. Yes front rails are different a bit of welding needed here I cut channels for front drive shafts and welded strengthening plates in place to keep it nice and ridged. Then you need to modify front sub frame because the last two bolt of the sub frame nearest  the bulk head don’t touch the gtst  rails about 15mm gap I think. Then you need to modify floor just behind drivers left leg for gearbox transfer case and on the same side you need to strengthen the chassis boxing for gearbox mounting and on top of that you have the dreaded wiring the best way to cut the wiring head ache down is to use full race torque controller instead of Nissans atesa unit do away of the electric diff and get yourself a two way limited slip then your full race controller only has to work gearbox a lot less wiring you still need pump unit in the back though. No electric diff in R32.

But, I had forgotten that the floor & gearbox mounts were different also! One more shell difference to add to the list.

ok guys thanks for the info - to add to the conversation would any one have for sale a GTR R32 front cross member and front diff and drive shafts for sale ? also does any one make or modify the original oil pan for dry sump ?

Also any r32 transfer cases out there for sale ( is a later model transfer case a better option ?)
