Grey DOT on R33 GTR Wheels?

Hello,

What does the grey dot/marker on the R33 GTR wheels indicate?

It's at a different location for each wheel. Does it indicate the lightest or heaviest point of the wheel?

Could well be the heaviest point on the wheel. There is a system of marking the lightest point on a tyre so as to allow them to be aligned with the heaviest spot on the wheel, which is usually assumed to be where the valve is, but obviously could be anywhere else. The grey dot would make sense.
