Finally got around to repairing and painting the type M front bumper I bought, was putting it on tonight and there seems to be a few issues.

The drivers side fits really well, but the passenger side has a pretty big gap below the headlight. The passenger side front fender was a little tweaked where the bumper bolts so I got that straightened back out but that didn't help the fitment under the headlight at all. Could I use some shims to raise the bumper up a bit and get it to fit better?

Also, thanks to my HPI front mount, my turn signals don't sit all the way in the bumper so I'll need to figure that out. Probably need to cut them and then plastic weld a piece in to reseal them.

Check the metal of the guard where the grommets go through. I found the metal was deformed which meant the grommets sat low and created the gap when the bumper is screwed on. Grabbed a pair of pliers and straightened the metal, gap is gone.

When in doubt, self tapper. I'll figure out a way to properly repair it soon but I just needed a solution before this weekend.
