Hi sorry if someone has asked this before..I had a search :(

Just wanted to know if front brembo r34 gtr calipers direct fit onto gtt rotors with no issues..

My r34 came with front gold brembos and looking to change the worn down slotted rotors that it came with though im not sure if they are gtt rotors or a little larger or thicker?..thanx

Thanks I better do that..was seeing if anyone knew before i jacked it up..  was thinking it must be thicker then a gtt rotor...  though does a larger rotor fit?..  it would only be the thickness difference? Not a height or width difference?..   when I spin the wheel it sounds like the rotor makes a small grind sound when I try spin it..is this normal? Or shouldit free spin with no small grind sound?   ..sux when you get a car and not sure what someone has done or if it's riggt

No. GT-T rotors are only 310mm diameter. GTR Brembo rotors are 324mm diameter. You cannot put a GTR Brembo on a 310mm rotor.

Just repetition for repetition's sake.

But.....GTR Brembo rotors aren't thicker. They're all 30mm. Only the 296mm GTR rotors are 32mm. Right?

Correct for the R32 GT-R (non V-Spec, Sumitomo calipers) but some just throw on R33 GTS-t rotors as they're a bee's dick cheaper.

Haha Oh son of rajab . Its like that haha..I checked the pads and they are gtr bolt line up so few they are brembo gtr....I think i must be thicker as i measured and def past 310mm... came to past 320mm so must be 324mm..sorry to ask is the gtr r34 rotor different I size? Or is it just the thickness..should be right to get gtr r34 rotor it sounds? .thanx so much to all

Are you sure they are R34 GTR calipers? It is very common to install Z33 front Brembo calipers but the rears don't fit.

If you have front a rear Brembos then they would most likely be R34  GTR ones. And the rotors are different between

BNR34 and Z33.

R32-R34 GTR 324mm rotors are all the same

The Z33 324mm rotors have a different hat height.

You'll need to measure this to work out what you have. Google how to measure rotor hat height and follow instructions.

Ahh I'll look...they are the nice gold brembo that the had did z33 have gold?...crZy so z33 calpiers bolt dorr direct into the front if a r34? The bolt pattern to take them on and off...  thanks all I'll measure the height and all and see what size... they seem to take r34 gtr pads though looked up and z33 seems to have the same front pad.. so may be z33 brembos..

Thanx for the help guys..didn't want to buy the wrong one and have my wheels on And of alot..

z33 have gold?

Yes, here's a guide I wrote back then when I cared about sharing knowledge lol

oh wow they do bolt into the same place and just a rotar change.. thank you for that.. seems it could be either brembo.. measure it is it seems. So I'll do that soon. Thanks to all who helped and cleared this up for me.. lol @ when I cared about sharing knowledge 🤣🤣 ..so gets like that

My dust pan is still on my fronts and has the lip sitll..does this mean mine are r34 brembos and gtr rotors? As my dust pan is not hiting my rotor and has the lip..?..  in this guide for z33 calpiers you need to trim the dust pan lip or remove it for z33 rotors

    • That's the thing. Cam is smaller than before.. though the old cam was +6 degrees advanced. We're talking huge changes here, the narrowbands want to trim out 20% of fuel and pull the (wideband) idle to like 16.0 AFR or such. One side is a little more trimmy than the other. Think along the lines of ~20% to ~15-18%. Unfortunately my scouring of the internet hasn't really found anyone with this issue. People either just disable NB's or have them wildly different, where one is -20% and the other is +20 or 0 (i.e a sensor is just dead/wiring is just busted). Turning them off and relying on the base map only results in the wideband reporting at about 14.0 with the Varex closed. It'd be a little leaner (closer to 14.7ish) with the Varex open. I know I can just change the switch points so that the narrowbands agree with the wideband, but it's still odd. Both of them are reading voltage, it's just that they're reading quite high mv, in the ~800 region. It's just odd. This was with the IAT fudged to report it was about ~22 degrees which is my guesstimation of the temperature in the room. I have an OEM sensor ready to try tonight, which is slow and crap - but .. worked last time I used it. Sadly I am aware that idle tuning with the big TB is going to be a PITA and I look 'forward' to many hours spent stalling or stumbling idle or delving into drivability things.
    • The GTR strut brace clears the new manifold.. by about 0.5mm. So this means I need to buy an OEM GTT Strut brace (again), which will clear the new manifold, but not the bonnet vents. I guess I can sell the GTR Strut brace with the bonnet with the vents as a package deal as someone will need this one day. So my choices are vented bonnet but no strut brace, or GTR Bonnet with OEM brace (which I have to buy) but is bright red instead of the same colour as the rest of the car, which means the entire front end of the car will just be red until it goes back to paint jail. In other news the engine starts and doesn't leak. Why both O2 narrowband sensors think the tune is rich AF I do not know. The idle is also pretty shitty and my expensive IAT sensor from the USA is dead. The car sounds awful. But I assume or at least hope this is due to the many exhaust leaks, and the concrete garage it is in, sitting there with 0 intake bolted to it, and no bonnet or panels or anything to stop the induction/intake sound which is about 200db.
    • C'mon! At least come kicking and screaming into the 2000s. BA XR8 bulge.
    • No such thing as E30 in Sydney servos As stated above, flex fuel is your only viable,  and "safe" option I believe
