I have a  98 er34 with the stock RB25det engine, and stock turbo setup etc.

(has after market intake, exhaust and front mount intercooler.)

my question is

if I bypass the stock 5-7 boost function, regap plugs, can i change out the BOV with a atmosphere

vented version and change out stock actuator with

hks adjustable turbo actuator on otherwise stock setup?

would it run well or be beneficial or would other changes be needed?

thanks

I have been restoring 50's cars for decades, and only a few supercharger system, new to anything turbo.

If you just want to raise the boost, don't f**k about with trying to fit an adjustable actuator. Just put a bleeder on it (replace the stock boost solenoid with the bleeder setup) or an electronic boost controller (Profec, etc) and turn it up to no more than 10 psi.

Plus what Ben said. There's no benefit to messing with the BOV anyway, and I should refuse to call it a BOV, because in reality it is a compressor bypass valve. Something you should be familiar with in supercharged applications.

Hi

i have the same car without intake mod, and mine is running 10psi from like 2500/3000 rpm, as I’m guessing it’s had the boost 2stage ground mod. Even with just catback it ran 10psi, and pod!

maybe try grounding the boost solenoid.

before spending on EBC?
