ahhh the memories

I have owned *takes deep breath*

Hanimex

Coleco Vision

Atari 2600

NES

Sega Master System

Sega Megadrive with CD Rom attachment (of which only 3 or 4 games were released in Oz for it)

Super Nintendo (yay Street Fighter)

Sony Playstation

Sega Saturn

Nintendo 64

Then with the advent of 3D graphics cards for the Home PC it was goodbye consoles for me :)

Many hours of enjoyment from all, but no console can compete with a Gaming PC IMHO

I had them all, and still do in the original boxes and all :D

In 70 years they will be worth a fortune :)

Edit, I just read Nex's post, I didnt have all of THOSE! I had NES, SNES, Megadrive, Master System, Playstation, playstation 2.

Didnt even really play them that much actually... Apart from 1992 when mortal kombat came out for mega drive :P

DUCK HUNT ROX!!!!! for the old NES..... i was so addicted.... but u had to set it up just right so it would respond properly when u played :D

I had such a huge Sega collection that I was able to sell 2/3's of it and buy my GTR

Had a little bit of Nintendo but as far as the 8bits go, Master System all the way over the NES.

Still own:

Master System

GameGear

Mega Drive

Mega CD

32X

Saturn

Dreamcast

N64

GameCube

plus around 150 games!

One of my treasures is the Japanese version of Need for Speed for the Saturn. It's called "Nissan Presents: Overdriving GTR" and instead of porches, etc it's all Nissans :aroused:

    • Here is the before and after of the scraping/sanding of the IC pads on the tachometer board for the fix mentioned in this thread. And yes it worked fine after. Just a note if you change any components on the board the tach calibration can be wrong showing the wrong idle etc...only problem is once it is installed back in the cluster you can't get to it to adjust...ouch! My fix was to cut out the calibration pot (the blue one) from the board and run it with two wires to the fuse panel under the dash where I could adjust the idle calibration once everything was installed. And yes I soldered everything up again including the half soldered components either side of the IC in my photos
    • After an excellent condition, working! oem radio for a 97 r33 And the steering wheel shroud/cover as mines a little bit scratched up Am in Melbourne
    • So my exhaust is loud and sounds awesome (good thing) but also is very loud when coming and going, dont want to piss off the neighours etc Are the varex adjustable mufflers any good? I contacted them but they dont make r33 specific exhausts Ive also see the adjustable inlets on this site but apparently they might restrict airflow too much which wouldnt be good for the engine. Would prefer something thats adjustable from in cabin so i can change it on the fly, dont really want to put in one of those permanent exhaust tip things.  Any other recommendations would be appreciated!
    • You don't need to lean as far to pour the oil in, or change the spark plugs either 😛
    • Indeed, it is much easier to get at the filter with the engine on a stand
