R33 instrument cluster - tacho swap auto to manual cluster

Hi, 

Just brought a r33 gtst and the tachometer isn’t working.

I’m wondering if I can swap an auto tachometer into a manual cluster ? 
 

Wanted to do the same for the speedometer as it can be temperamental but I have read that auto speedos can read higher than the speed you are travelling. 
 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you can and correct about the about the speedo being out. There is a way to adjust the speed, from memory it involves soldering and de soldering certain pins on the chip behind the speedo. Google can provide more info.
