Modifications and Just cars insurance

Hey, when I was inquiring about 3rd party insurance for a 32 gts-t the lady was asking if it had any modifications, I was wondering just how important it is to update your policy every time you do something to your car, even if its only 3rd party insurance

Also does anyone know about how much the policy would go up for say a front mount cooler and an exhaust?

3rd party I was quoted about 550 or 770 with fire and theft.

I guess it would be important to list mods in the case of theft.

don't think it really matters.. as your car is only covered for a maximum of about $5k on 3rd party anyhow..

but if you don't tell them your modifications and they are looking for a way out of a large payout, it may be to your advantage to be truthful from the start.

I am with just cars full comp and i recently rang them to ask how much it would cost to insure any mods i was 'planning' on doing.

I quickly hanged up when she told me how much more it would cost for the mods i asked about in annual fee and excess.
