R33 steering wheel help please

Hey everyone. Just trying to install a r33 steering wheel series 2 with airbag on my r33gtst please see photos

I go to slide the new wheel on but it’s hitting the plug on the right hand side. Do I have to take that black disc looking thing off or is that series 2 steering wheel not going to fit at all?

My old steering wheel doesn’t have an airbag anyway so I’m not worried about an airbag just wanted to have a better condition steering wheel. 
can I get rid of the clockspring and put new steering wheel on

That's the HICAS steering angle sensor drive. What you do with it will depend somewhat on whether you can even put a HICAS wheel onto a non-HICAS R33 column - which I don't know.

Thanks, can confirm the Series2 Steering wheel goes on fine. Got rid of the hicas steering angle sensor drive, and slides straight on
