Just want peoples opinions on what my power output should be with the following mods.

 

RB25det

T66 twinscroll turbo 0.81 Rear

2200cc ID Injectors

1/2" Braided Fuel lines

1 x 345lph Intank Pump

2 x 385lph External pumpn to 3lt Surge

Adaptronic Ecu

3.5" dump and exhaust

 

Engine is full rebuild

Bored out 20 Thou

decked 10 Though

86.5mm CP Pistons

Spool H Beam rods

Balanced crank

Crank Collar

Exceedy Hd Ceramic clutch

external oil cooler

Upgraded valve springs

Titanium washersb and collets

head ported and polished 

 

sure there might be something ive missed but thats the bulk of it.

 

previously it made 444.4 RWHP @ 17psi

with stock bottomend and low compression ( Highest cylinder had 86psi)

manifold had leaks and so did the waste gates 2 x 38mm Tial

stock clutch and only on 98 Oct pump fuel..

 

Any ideas would be good

ALSO OPEN TO ANY ADVICE THAT COULD HELP WITH RELIABILITY AT HIGH POWER OUTPUT

The reliability at high power output stage was done when selecting the engine rebuild components which sounds like it's already been done.

No matter how well it's built, the more power = burning the candle faster. There's no way around it other than making a catastrophic specification error where the candle snaps in half or explodes the first time you try and light it.

Hows the transmission?

In my experience, once your rolling over 500hp and have all of the torques hitting the transmission on sticky rubber, the transmission can becomes a consumable item on anything but street tyres

If you have a bit of money spare, get a modern turbo and replace those 2200cc Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) injectors.

You have a decent motor, might as well respect it with modern injectors that are made for gasoline and/or ethanol.

And addressing the turbo itself.....T66 making nearly 600HP (so, about 60 lb/min at PR 2.1) is part way from the island to the right hand edge of the compressor map. Somewhere close to 70% efficiency, which is actually a fairly happy spot to run the turbo. If you want another 50 fwhp (as an example of something you might want) you could add a few psi (say 21, PR 2.4) and stay on approximately the same efficiency line, increasing shaft speed by nearly 10000rpm. Seems perfectly doable on the compressor side. I have no idea if the turbine/ex housing will play along. Probably would be fine.

If the motor were built to take the cylinder pressures (and there's no mention of head studs or gasket specs in your post) then you should be able to jam 30 psi into it and get very close to maxing out the airflow capability of the turbo, whilst still not getting too hot. That's ~700-750 fwhp, but the boost and shaft speeds required to get there are both a lot larger steps up than the gain from the 1st 4 or 5 psi that you could put into it.

You would definitely want a big intercooler, and I agree with the calls above for better injectors. You'd almost certainly want to look at properly controlling those fuel pumps too, because.....damn. That's a lot of heat being put into the fuel.

Not sure where gas Injectors came from. Interested to understand. 

I also forgot to mention arp stock size headstuds and cometic MLS head gasket. 

What would you guys suggest as a decent power output to keep it reliable and till have some juice. 

Not looking to increase rpm limit if I don't need to. Just want it to be a reliable runner with some balls. 

Will also be running a dual boost set up so low boost at say 10psi and high boost at well not sure of that yet. Will have to see what it makes at what psi and rpm and drop maybe 10 or 20%.

The dirty secret of almost all of these aftermarket injector companies is that they do not do much, if any R&D in most cases, they're just relabeling Bosch, Denso, or Siemens injectors. They might decap the injectors for higher flow and maybe also match them again so that they actually function properly. The one exception maybe that I've seen is Nostrum Energy out in Michigan. If you read Glassdoor reviews they have ex-employees that complain pretty mightily about how they want to be a big time OEM supplier like Bosch or Denso but they waste their time on direct to consumer aftermarket parts. AMS Performance uses their HPFPs for the VR30DDTT as they've designed a custom HPFP that flows a lot more than stock and is also E85 compatible.

ID stopped pushing and selling those 2000/2200cc injectors due to so many issues with E85. 

Most likely you have the 0280158(821 or 843) variant.
