TENSION ROD BUSHING

My Passengers side wheel is a 1/2" or 12mm further back towards to rear of the car.

I dont what I'm looking at but there does not seem to be any adjustment for caster.

Anyone have this issue? Or how to check which bushing?

Could be collapsed radius rod bush. Could be something bent, from an arm, to subframe bolts.

There is no adjustment for caster on stock radius rods.

Take it to a chassis specialist for examination.

And, a wheel alignment should at least tell you if there is a problem or not. It is possible what you are seeing is normal...

Just make sure they check toe, camber and caster, and give you a copy of the before and after results.

If they're OEM ones, they're fixed and not to mention probably completely flogged.

Just jack up the car securely and take off a castor rod from one side and inspect the bush.

Nissan at the time thought filling it with some form liquid was a great idea.

Appointment with a chassis shop made. I looked , twisted, pulled, measured and I cant see anything, but I'm no specialist

My caster rod had an oil leak - caster was a bit out on the alignment, nothing crazy. I idiotically thought it was splash back from an engine-related leak until I dug around on forums.

Technically a viscous fluid, heaps of OEM bushes have it. It's like a clear silicone based shit of a thing that sticks to everything.

Replace with Polyurethane 👍

The front caster rods are definitely the very first arm that deserves and demonstrates the value of solid spherical joints, without any downsides at all. Do it.

The only downside that I found was less compliance/more crash in the suspension when you went over things like train tracks/potholes etc.

I didn't notice a single scrap of extra NHV going from poly bushes to sphericals in the caster arms. I did notice the lack of the lower end of the uprights flailing around though. The increase in trust in front end behaviour was a quantum jump.

Something else is wrong then, I run sphericals on both R33's with no increase in NVH.

Yeah dunno.  Maybe boats are better than 32’s. Anyway point being you can get decent adjustment without rose joints if it is a road car.

R32s are limited as to how much caster you can wind in by the upper arm bush binding problem. But adjustment is not the issue here. The issue is preventing any movement along the axis of the rod. Even poly bushes allow several mm of movement with longitudinal loads. Pushes the wheel fore and aft and affects every part of the wheel alignment in a bad way.

Yeah, I'm having some serious difficulty tuning 800hp on the stock ECU though 🤷‍♂️
