ecu problems

Hi all, i have a faulty ecu, so i thinking of buying a 2nd one without the need to have it programmed to the keys but what else do i need?

How did you come to know the ECU is faulty?

In any case, with a new ECU you will need to program the keys for it to start. I don't know the procedure but hopefully it is posted up somewhere.

What car do you have? I have one that I do not need.

You will need to reprogram the BCM, keys fobs etc from memory.

My problem is getting it programmed, only nissan can do it so I'm told.

Why is that a problem?

Nissan is painful to deal with

If you can find someone with the Nissan Consult III Plus, they can do it for you. 

So what happened to your ECU?

Hit a flooded road and got water in main fuse box which cause damage to ecu.

I'm in uk.

Nissan dealers in uk don't like touching imports.

The whole country can be driven end to end in a day. Surely there is one (1) dealer in the UK with a good reputation for helping.

I have phoned nissan, they can't supply a new ecu for imports and won't fit/program 2nd hand units.
