WVR
Hey guys, I'm looking at buying a flood damaged statutory write-off to use as a donor car for parts to repair my repairable write-off. I would like to use the airbags from the statutory write-off but I can't seem to find any concrete information regarding the legality to do so. The flood damage is freshwater that only made it to floor pan level and the airbags themselves remained dry and will function as normal. Once the car is fixed it will be inspected in Queensland. Wondering if someone's had the same experience or knows the legality of this? Duncan
I have no idea on the legaltity of parts that come from a stat write off, other than to point out there is no way you, any buyer, any engineer or inspector would know a part came from a stat write off. 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/483492-legal-to-use-airbags-from-a-flood-damaged-write-off/#findComment-7962617 Share on other sites
soviet_merlin
Man, is this some kind of SEO spam thing again? If not, I apologise and shall excuse myself. - First post - check - Zero relation to Skylines - check - Odd formatting because of copy pasted content - check - A bunch of other forums with pretty much identical posts by first posters - check Edited March 28, 2022 by soviet_merlin I'm a mistrustful weirdo and there is no need to be all confrontational about it. Also this edit box fits quite a bit of text and seemingly goes on forever and ever and ever and ever 2 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/483492-legal-to-use-airbags-from-a-flood-damaged-write-off/#findComment-7962620 Share on other sites
tridentt150v
If the wheel has the side plastic covers that hide the airbag bolts...I'll buy them off you?
