I'm in the process of prepping for paint (sanding etc)

Went to remove my front window and cracked it as my zip knife was sitting on the retainer while cutting.

So for the people who have install the glass, did you use the oem retainer during install? If it's not needed then I don't wanna deal with it again

Also what aftermarket trim do you guys prefer?

Hey mate, its almost impossible not to crack the front windscreen when removing it. I recently had mine removed by a professional to get the seals replaced and he said 90% of the time they crack. The rear windscreen is apparently a thicker glass and less likely to need replacing. I went with genuine nissan seals but the racq windscreen guy said they can use aftermarket seals for around $30

Lol Damn

I thought i was doing good while i was cutting the bottom the i got about 2 inches into the side and it crack with little effort.

I think when I install the new glass I will not use the plastic retainer that goes around in place first. Seems like it add a bit of difficulty to ease of replacement of the trim. I'll probably go with an aftermarket trim that sits a little wider. I really trying to eliminate breaking the glass again
