Hi all,

I'm in Syd and with all the recent talk about curfews (although i'm 22), i'm afraid if they might just impose a power restriction on all p platers just like in Vic.

This means that if I get a car now which is over the restriction, I maybe unable to drive it in 6 months time... :D

Could this happen?

Also, a question for the Vic guys, can anyone please tell me if an aussie spec s15 is restricted? (i need alternative vehicle choices just in case)

s15: 147kw ,1270kg = not over right?

Cheers,

Eric

edit: another Q for the Vic guys...

if the car is restricted but its the only car owned by my family, does it mean i "may" get an exemption? /runs to sell the camry... :headspin:

I wouldn't worry. It's not like they're going to ratify any laws overnight. When I was in high school and looking at getting my L's there was all this talk about P plates for 3 years. Never happened until MUCH later.
