Does anyone know if its possible to fit a double din head unit, the stock cluster & a link MXS 5" digital dash in a 1994 r33 skyline, has anybody done it before, and if so how?

and if not, does anyone have any recommendations/ideas of how to make it happen

cheers

I'm confused by your question, is this what you're asking?

You want to install a double DIN head unit.

You want to install a Link MXS dash, somewhere inside the car.

You want to keep your stock dash cluster.

Is that correct?

Yep, spot on.

If you google R33 double DIN head unit, you'll get a million examples.

Then mount the Link MXS in front of the stock cluster?

I don’t want the MXS covering the cluster, that’s the point. I am not buying the MXS to replace my cluster, and will only be using it purely for digital gauges, if it’s possible to put it somewhere not in the way of a regular double din headset (for bluetooth, navigation, etc).

What I’m thinking is if there is some way to cut a hole or get a mount professionally installed in the dash or some sort. If anyone had any ideas itd be great

You could take inspiration from something like this -

https://zada-tech.com/products/multi-gauges/nissan-skyline-gtr-r32-r33-r34-multi-function-gauge-display

Then model it up for your Link MXS in something like Fusion 360 and get it 3D printed.

Mako makes this -

I bet they could make this -

and this

To have a baby.

That would get you half of the way there.
