Good afternoon all,

Recently picked up my crank that’s been in storage for a number of years now.

 

it’s been balanced, grub screwed & reground. By an unknown machine shop (I didn’t get the name from the last builder)

but not sure on the markings.

Without assuming too much I’d say the top numbers are conrod bearing clearances 

and bottom numbers are mains? (Photo although poor quality shows markings)

I’ll know more once I check with micrometer & dial bore gauge against the block & conrods.

My understanding is those numbers relate to Nissan's range of super-fine specs of standard bearings size rather than just 'here's a STD size bearing". So unless using forementioned Nissan's superfine range of STD bearings, and instead using any aftermarket bearing where you just get STD, or much larger oversize/undersizes, the numbers don't mean much..especially after work has been done on it.

I tried matching the numbers VS the workshop manual during one build...too hard, too expensive, gave up.

Yeah just double checked a crank I have, that is the factory crank big end and main gradings. Details of the factory grades are on EN101 of the r32 manual.

They are of no relevance 30 years later of course
