jacobzking
Anyone have pics of an OEM R33 GTR bumper on their r33 GTST? I know it’s a tad wider, and I’ve searched quite a bit, but all the online posts are too old and pics are gone. Predator1
Sure, you will find lots of pics of R33 GT-R's... where they belong, on a GTR, not on a wanabe GTR. 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/484710-r33-gtr-bumper-on-gtst-pics/#findComment-7979949 Share on other sites

Meh, it's not really a huge deal IMO. But the GTR bumper definitely does not fit a stock GTST unless you do the whole front-end swap. The R33 GTST 40th anniversary supposedly has this optional bumper though that I think looks pretty good and theoretically should fit up like OEM?: Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/484710-r33-gtr-bumper-on-gtst-pics/#findComment-7979954 Share on other sites
GTSBoy
'sif you'd fit a genuine GTR bar to a 33 GTST anyway, these days. The fact that fibreglass "GTR" bars for GTSTs exist should be sufficient to indicate how it should be done if you want it to look that way, and fit. 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/484710-r33-gtr-bumper-on-gtst-pics/#findComment-7979959 Share on other sites
UWISSH!
I’m guessing he wants it so he can tell his mates he has a genuine GTR bar. It’s not a tad wider, it’s a lot wider. iI will not fit. Kinkstaah
tbh if I had a 33 I would be putting a GTR bodykit on it. There's merit in OEM plastic and steel over fibreglass etc etc etc. I never was able to find rear guards for a R33 GTST-> GTR conversion mind you, but as I do not have a R33 this is quite a minor issue for me personally 😛 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/484710-r33-gtr-bumper-on-gtst-pics/#findComment-7979966 Share on other sites

Even then I'd struggle to justify all the work it takes to do the change properly. Parts are insanely hard to source and cost a mint when you do. GTSBoy
And then.... it still looks like the QE2 on maiden voyage. Thank god for the R32. 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/484710-r33-gtr-bumper-on-gtst-pics/#findComment-7979973 Share on other sites

Kinkstaah
The R33 GTR is the best looking skyline. I still regret missing out on a Gunmetal one, but my views are heretical at best sometimes. funkymonkey
fibreglass version, it's made to fit the smaller fenders and narrow body bumper support. https://item.rakuten.co.jp/partslandts/00100-001/ This guy took out the reinforcement bar to do a test fit of the GTR bumper on his S2 GTS25t: here's the resulting gap So even S1 to S2 is different. Woohoo! A helpful response lol. It’d be easy to put a spacer under the bumper to lift it up so it sits without a gap. Looks like a good fit. Thank you!!! But I daily the car, and fiberglass breaks too easy. I don’t want to have to be super cautious on speedbumps, or pulling up to parking spots, or dips in the road. I just hate fiberglass body parts.
