Hi all am this far currently, am going to take the head off next week to book in to get rings down and few other bits and bobs, do I need to drop engine out of car for them to be done?,(cam gears are all off just need to remove the top part), cheers for the info

Yeah am getting the pistons rings done, hones and bottom end bearings done, ran a comp test and 5 was completey stuffed had 0 compression through it, am getting a shop to do it though so have all the warranty and receipts there, then recore my turbo n get a tune, be away and racing

but, why do you think it needs new rings?

Also everything I'd turn the car on it wouldn't smoke, once got warm started smoking like a freight train then on idle, it was just toasted
