Hi everyone, I own a completely stock (4-lug) 1993 R32 GTS and wanted to convert my entire wheel and brake setup to a 5-lug since the current calipers are corroded along with the disc brakes..and if I were to replace them, might as well use the money to convert it into a 5 lug setup. I did some research on google and around old forums but couldn't get a definite answer so figured I'd ask here hoping someone who also completed this conversion could help me out.

For now, here are the parts I am planning to buy excluding the wheels.

  • Front R32 GTS-T hub
  • Rear 300ZX/Z32 5-lug hub
  • 300ZX/Z32 brake rotors (Front and back)
  • 300ZX/Z32 brake calipers and pads

Some questions I have are will a Z32 front hub also fit on a GTS knuckle? Also, the front hub knuckle assembly is a pressed bearing so I plan to use a buddies shop press to get the job done but will a GTS-T front hub perfectly fit the GTS front knuckle? The brake dust shield on the GTS is significantly smaller than a Z32 rotor so I might end up bending/cutting the edges to make the entire setup fit. Would that be a problem?

You want gts-t hubs all round. The Z32 has a larger spline rear axle , so unless you plan on changing the diff , its a no go.

You won't need a press, its a bolt off, bolt on job if you get the complete hubs.

As for brakes Z32 will fit fine all round. Ideally you use the Z32 dust shields but if you can't get them then you can cut the fold over lip off the gts ones and you will need to clearance around the caliper bolts.

Thank you for the answer and reply. So the rear hub assembly won't work. How about S14/S15 rear hub assemblies? Will those fit?

Last time I recall reading online, the front hubs have a pressed bearing?
