I'm getting ready to tackle some fueling mods. I just purchased the Frenchy's Twin Pump In-Tank Fuel System Kit. I also bought a Fuel pump relay module to power the pumps.

ECU is an Elite 2500. The fuel pump relay wire is pinned off a DPO slot.

My question is: When picking up the signal wire (teal wire w/ gray) is it better to pick it up before the OEM relay and  FPCM or will picking up next to the hat cover fine?

I'm mounting the Relay module on the hat cover and since that wire will be close I'd rather pick it up there.

Get the signal before all the FPCM crap.

Thx man!

I'm gonna cut the wire before it splits the OEM relay/FPCM then run 2ea signals to the new relay module.

I imagine picking the signal up after may want to override the new relays and use the old one and with FPCM not being grounded it would cause issues?

It's more so let's say your OEM FPCM dies, even though you're not using it at all now, your relays aren't latching and you'll have pumps that don't work.

Just removing the potential future issues.

Thx for the explanation.

I de-pinned the fuel relay wire from the front junction branch that runs to the rear of the car by, then extended the wire to the back. I then spliced a T into that wire ran for my 2ea signal wires for the pump.

There where multiple wires of the same color in the rear branch so it was just easier to run a wire up from the ECU.
