ended up getting about 2inches lower, guards just above the wheels now. Looks so much better.

the equipment ended up being a mix of 200SX and s13 fitments, plus the electronic adjustment function of the suspension was removed up front.... kept at the back for a tidbit of extra adjustment.

used sports ryder coil springs, new struts and replaced all radius rod bushes (they were farked).... much nicer now, but big speed humps scare me. got a bit of the ol grind going - so I am going to cut down the mud flaps and maybe put a brace protector over the exhaust at its lowest point like I did on my ol truck - its a great way to protect your new turbo back exhaust from getting squished!

I will have some photos in an hour or so when my furkin camera finished charging.

so much for not spending money on the ceffy!

if anyone wants the product codes for the exact bits you will need to drop a stock ceffy just ask I have them here today.

can you take some underbody shots when u have time ?? my stock exhuast gets scraped on reasonably small humps... can't imagine what it will be like with aftermarket exhuast..

make sure its not your mud flaps those things hang quite low and make a surprisingly nasty noise. If it is your exhaust, what height are you at? It looks pretty low from the pics I have seen (if mem serves me correctly).

i don't have a cannon style muffler, I have a stock looking end - that might be a better option, but first, where does yours actually get scraped?

I took my mud flaps off the first week of having the car because they scraped way to much, havnt got any stone chips just a build up of rubber up on the bumper, lol, i also have 7" cannon only scrapes on steep driveways but my car is only standard height

lol man im not looking forward to getting mine on the streets then... i won be putting a cannon on mine tho... i'll be using a set of twins with an oval muffler which should give a little more room

I'd say thats the way to go, and pull off the mud guards.... will look heaps better without them anyway

thanks for putting up the underbody pics kursed :D

my car looks a little lower than that... it was 50mm off the ground when it first got here... still too low i think.. i wouldn't care if i was scraping the front bar or any bodyparts but it sounds like i'm scraping the exhuast... (mine doesn't have mud flaps either..)

you'd be lucky to fit a tally ho under the lowest part of your car john :(

Mine came here with only 90mm front. I couldnt get shi*t under there to change the worn out tyres. Even the mechanic hoists coudnt help as i wasnt able to go over it due to the front bar. Ended up having to use a mini-jack to get it to reasonable height then take the larger jack later on.

mine with 50mm...

gee man.. looks like no westfields or stanmore maccas for yourslef. :jk:

when i saw your car last time at grey imports. It didnt seem that low?.. I must have been looking at it wrongly. Also sorry i didnt take any pics because i stopped going there. He was always too busy.

    • Excuse me for butting in....but which part of ADHD can be considered a superpower? I would have though it far more likely that some ASD comorbidity is more likely to be contributing to an ability to hyperfocus on something. ADHD being aimed somewhat in the other direction. My shed looks like your shed. My whiteboard list of unfinished projects has entries going back 15 years. I know what you're talking about - I just struggle to connect ADHD to the results being discussed.
    • Thanks for reaching out!  It's a blessing and a curse at the same time.  I'm undiagnosed but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see it in me... I have more half started projects laying around my house, shed, garden, etc taking up space and money, destroying aesthetics than if I added up all of my mates projects together. But, ADHD gives me the ability to hyper focus on things that no mere mortal could even  comprehend.  A recent pool build is an example of that....  I dont know anyone else that would be dumb enough and focused enough to take on then complete something of that magnitude. I call ADHD a superpower but it can equally be completely destructive if not controlled and focusedon the right places. Addiction is a major concern to ADHD people and thankfully my addictions have been no worse than projects, XBOX, chocolate and being an arsehole! It's often hereditary and my 13 year old son is currently learning how to drive it at the moment. Keep lurking! If i can finally finish this bloody thing at some point it will be a win for all of us ADHD'ers! 🤪
    • I've been quietly following this thread for ages, but this one got me. Since my ADHD diagnosis (and associated learnings and prescription) I'm way less inclined to wade into forum yarns when there are better things to do with my time, as half the time I'd end up in some kind of forum debate even if that wasn't my intention. I've not lost the ADHD "superpowers", just am a lot better at directing my hyperfocus into slightly more constructive things, but haven't stopped quietly lurking in here in my spare time.
    • Stripped the tank down and gave it a good scrub. It came up really good! Not sure if I'll just put it back in like that or give it a blackening treatment (such as Bowdens The Black Box). That might give it a matte look so might just run it as is.
    • @MBS206 Ha ha, yeah ADHD is a daily battle to not get drawn in to doing things you want to do that you know you shouldn't do!  Every single time I walk into my shed I end up doing something I started the day having zero intention of doing! I keep mentioning the 1 step forward, 3 steps back scenario and I'm tipping people that are blessed with ADHD (yes, blessed) are the worst at that!
