98 ER34 GTT proper stock boost gauge readings

1998 ER34 GTT rb25det neo engine , everything is stock but intake filter, intercooler and exhaust system.

 

my question is:

 

what is the normal readings on the stock boost gauge?

with key on?

at idle?

with a quick throttle input pedal tap?

throttle held at 1/2 steadily?

 

appreciate any help

Key on. Zero.

At idle. - lots. The equivalent of about -65kPa or about -21 inches of mercury. Your boost guage is marked in some stupid metric vertical height of f**king mercury, so whatever 21 inches is in mm. Stupid f**king Japanese.

Driving and poking but no boost? Zero.

Impossible to say for the last one because it depends on what gear, speed and slope of hill you're on. Max boost is less than 7 of those bullshit units on the gauge though.

awesome, that's exactly how mine is working, I was unsure as when car arrived none of these gauges were connected, so I had to wire/ plumb everything. good to know I did it right, thanks.
