Really sad news to hear!!

I’ve scheduled a post on our SAU FB and Insta for later this morning, which I hope will do him justice!! I tried fitting in some quotes from you all into the post, but stupid FB and Insta have a character limit…

Neil meant a great deal to many people… I remember emailing with him early in my tenure in the committee to get him his (at the time) new Life Member card… he was pretty chuffed - I could tell he loved SAU and it would be from the memories made with all of you…

Rest in Peace Neil!! You’ll be dearly missed!!

This is really sad news to hear and it has taken me a few days to come to grips with the loss of Neil.

Neil was very straight forward and I have always respected his honesty and how he called it how it was.

He was a very knowledgeable man and was always available to provide advice when you needed help to solve a problem because he would have encountered the same issue in the past and could explain how he solved it.

Neil will be missed by many members of the Skyline family.

Damn...

My only interaction with Neil was my shitbox spraying petrol all over him during an SMSP East track day (I was in front of his Radical during an out lap, with a full tank, petrol was spraying out of the overflow valve). He was super chill about it. But that left a lasting impression on me.

Rest in peace mate.

    • It's a fun job...did a little write-up here --> https://forum.r31skylineclub.com/index.php?topic=159279.105 FTR, smoothed the idle out and the rb30 was more responsive...manifold vacuum at idle came up a bit (likely the base Orings leaking), and spark-plug colours evened out. An interesting little test, is to grab an eye-dropper/pipette and put a couple of drops of petrol in the old gauze filter, same again with new ones...see how long it takes to drip through 😃 Thing is the results are inconclusive because I replaced the injector connectors and fitted the intake runner spacer at the same time...but when you see & test the old gauze filters, there's little doubt this would've pushed fueling a little bit towards the thin side... ...btw... https://www.amayama.com/en/part/nissan/2891341l00 ....washer bottle cap, still available last time I checked.
    • Where are u located? U got nothing on your sig  There’s a place in Carrington (Newcastle) that refurbishes speedometers/gauges. They can also adjust the new odometer to the kms’ of the previous odometer and supply a certificate, also re calibrate the speedometer

    • Up for sale I have a set of 4 x TE37SL which are 19 x 10.5 +22 and are 5x114.3 PCD.    Also fitted are almost brand new Pirelli P-Zero tyres in 285/30/19. These are $2,912 RRP in tyres and they have done about 4 laps around the block and are essentially brand new.   Rims are in brand new condition as well with a ceramic coat over them. Also included are a set of genuine centre caps.   These wheels best suit an R33 GTR or R34 GTR as pictured in example photos.
