Changing Speed sensor on Auto R34 25GT

My Speedo currently does not work and when I Scan the car with NDS it says "Code14: Speed Sensor Circuit (P0500)"
I believe on the Auto the speed sensor is on the diff. Is this correct?

does anyone have the replacement part number?

is there any calibration required after fitment?

Why not look to see if the wiring is intact before lurching into swaptronics?

Computer says speed sensor circuit. So they're following the same logic as a mechanic and just swapping the associated part...

 

Totally skipping the part of proving the issue with a known good part, or actually fault finding like testing the wiring.
