Weird RB25DET engine issue

Hey all, hoping for some advice on what’s going on with my GTST. I recently noticed that I was leaking antifreeze from a small hose behind the motor. So I had replaced the hose and filled the antifreeze back up but now for some reason when I’m driving the car I can feel the engine kinda breaking up around 4K rpms. I also feel the cars rpms fluctuating while I’m just cruising on the highway. I thought it might’ve been because I had the a/c running but I shut it off and it still does it. Can anyone give me some technical help with what’s going on?

Hmm. If it was S1, I would have suggested that you might have upset the coil igniter by working at that end of the engine.

As is it, I would suggest that you might have upset the coil loom. You might have tired old wiring connectors that got moved. Not particularly likely though.

I have new spark plugs, splitfire coil packs, and a new coil pack loom

Were those all there and working properly prior to the heat hose surgery?

Yes they were
