I have myself an ABS r34 Diff for my R32. The nose of the diff is about an inch longer than the original. This causes the tailshaft to be too long.

the rear section of my Tailshaft is about 800mm. Ideally I'd like to find a rear tailshaft section that is shorter but I have an event next week. What's your thoughts on welding some 3mm flat bar to the top of the center bearing mounting tabs and drill holes 1"back so the center bearing will mount forward a bit more?

You keep asking this question, and now I understand why. But I don't understand how jamming the yoke an extra inch into the gearbox is a thing.
