johnnyr31, it wasn't me, my wish was that more early skylines had turned up. Everybody buys and lives with what they can afford according to their priorities. I own a Gts2.5t, sure I could afford something flashier, but then I'd have to give up something else in my life, a choice I'm not willing to make.

I actually thought your car was well turned out, and was glad to see it there. One day you may trade up, maybe keeping the r31 cos of the great times you had in it [we'll all have to trade up one day]. But I wouldn't trade up cos other ppl say blah blah about a certain aspect of it, they are small minded bigots who ought to have more sense.

Don't take their narrow views to heart, meet them head on and laugh about it, turn it around to your advantage.

See you at the next event, and I'll be the first to say gidday and shake the hand etc.

And as a lesson to us all--------------------see what a few cruel uninformed comments can do, I bet it took johnnyr31 real courage to say what he did on the forum, please do not divide the skyline comaraderie we have going, SAU is for all.

Whats next R32's ???????????? lets not be silly.........

OMG what a gorgeous day it is, not a cloud in the sky and all that is required is a towel, sunscreen, sunnies and a banana chair, a beer, and I am in heaven.....oh and the day off work would help!!!!

johnnyR31: I agree with trident, buggar the bigots, after all she's a skyline...so what does it matter what number follows the R anyway.

Aurora, great pics, cheers, and I reckon mid october sounds great for the next get together

oh havagreatweekend and dont forget the aeroguard!

I'll be "in" for almost anytime,'cept Wednesday 13th to Wednesday 20th...There's this l'il Italian fella riding at Phillip Island that I'm riding down to cheer on(I'd cheers for Mr Bayliss, too, but he's right off the pace this year...sob).So most other weekends are "game on" for me!

I'll be out hunting out new photo locations and lighting situations over the next few weeks;I might even post a few photos to see what y'all think!

to bad i had to leave early had to work, heard a few of u guys bag my car, but if i spent the money u guys had i prolly would to, was a good turnout got to know a few more people to, well organised cant wait till the next one

Hey Johnny-I'll echo Tridentt150v and SkylineGal's comments-don't let the goons get ya down!Personally,I would've liked to have seen more 31's AND 30's!Did you see that red two door featured in Zoom 'bout 6 months ago? What a weapon!Don't be worried 'bout what your ride is:as long as it's a 'Line,I sure as hell don't care!Even then,ANY well turned out car is good in my eyes!I know that sounds easy for me to say,but every car I've owned I've looked after and had pride in it!

Dont worry about people saying things bout your car, im a fan of your car, not just cos its a line, but the effort and time that youve put into it. As long as it makes you happy.

Whats next R32's ????????????

hey! whats wrong with 32s??? :jk: :headspin:

    • @Kinkstaah yeah I initially checked with Chequered as I've used them with a previous car. But they have stopped sourcing and installing Nistune chips. They only do tuning now. I did not want to pull out my ECU and send it away somewhere to have the chip installed. That would mean no driving the Skyline
    • Should have checked that.  On the plus side, I got my Bluetooth adaptor.
    • Each province differs a bit but we only do mandatory vehicle inspections here for heavy vehicles (Think Ford F350 and up). Those inspections are done by mechanics that are approved by the government. Besides that, it's a free for all as long as the car looks stock.  I asked because I love seeing how engineering differs from country to country. Here in Canada, all designs must be stamped and signed before they can be brought to fruition. (I.E Bridges, structures, Electrical panels, machines, literally everything shy of a wooden table) This can only be done by a professional engineer or professional engineering technologist. Both are protected titles, but the latter having more of a limited scope in what they can stamp. To become a professional engineer, you must complete a 4-5 year bachelors degree in your field of engineering, be part of an engineering order and undergo 4 years of apprenticeship, testing and mandatory continues education. Same story for engineering technologists, but a 3 year associates degree in some form of engineering technology will suffice. If you do not comply, or pretend you're an engineer or technologist, off to jail you go. If you stamp a design that fails, off to jail you go. If you stamp a design that fails and kills someone (I.E Bridge collapse) Off to jail you go for a very long time, your family will be ridiculed on the news, neighbours will surround your home with pitch forks and your dog will disown you.  Same for specialised trades... Example Electricians must undergo 1.5 years of post high school education, 4 years of apprenticeship, testing and hold proper licences. It's for the best, but then we also wonder why we're so short on engineers and tradesmen haha. We also have professional engineers who were only school smart but have no idea how a drill works. They generally go straight into management roles out of school which is also for the best.
    • Not currently, I'm at the school where we teach people to build bridges and other fun things that involve making, or breaking things
    • I have a friend who has used Chequered Tuning and CMS. Went to CMS when Chequered had a long wait time which is kind of the norm (for good reason). Was very happy - I'm pretty sure the very simple thing you're asking will be simple.
