Hey All,

Yesterday I had my series 1 R33 (auto) fitted with a 600x300x76 core hybrid front mount. I also had a 3 inch dump pipe installed, a 3 inch hi-flow cat and a 4 inch cat back with sports muffler (forget the brand) installed. All the pipes are mandrel bent.

Driving it home the first thing I noticed was an incredibly loud turbo spool. I wanted to know if others with a similar mod have experienced this or if i need to double check the work that was performed to make sure all the welds and joins are secured.

Any help would be appreciated.

Double check that pipes have been connected properly! Can't hurt.

Hey All

I shoud qualify by saying that i dont think the increased audibility of the turbo spooling is a bad thing - i just wasnt expecting it to be such an increase.

2fardown - I have an aftermarket turbosmart boost controller - all appears normal in that regards but will check it over tonight.

Hey Blade

Yeah the flutter is pretty loud - i tightened my BOV up a bit cause it was opening to much and creating that stalling feeling.

I took the car down to Mercury Motorpsort and got them to havea look at it - they said it didnt sound too bad. While i was there I also had the car dyno'ed - it made 157.6 Kw at the wheels, and that as with really bad air / fuel ratios. To rectify this i have to]he car going in to get a wolf 3d system fitted in 2 weeks time with some big gains expected.
