Ello,

Im currently looking for a set of used coil overs for my 93 series 1 R33 Gtst.. Anyone have any recommendations on where I can find a set at a reasonable price?

Also does anyone know if you can just install coil overs made for an R33 GTR? (as alot of website label the coil overs "Suit R33 GTR")......

Thanks,

GTR 1's won't fit mate. I've bought a set of Tein Type Flex for my ECR33. They seem like good value. I ordered through a Japanese company and should be here any day. The cheapest Tein's are the Super Street and they should do a good job. Nengun's prices are competitive.

Have you spent any time in a car with Jap Brand coilovers? They mostly seem to be way too hard for Aus roads. I went local Whiteline/DMS and in my opinion even they are to stiff for local roads. They handle fine but you get sick of the bangs and jolts.

GTR ones can fit. What you have to do is to chop the base eye bolt fitting off your stock shocks and weld it onto the base (between the forks) of the GTR shocks. The height of the shock is the same in most cases (as far as i know). If it saves you say more than 20% the cost, then i'd do it.

Heres another quickie,

My cars a little bouncey atm, just wondering if i raised my car up an inch (back to 2") would the car still bounce like a rabbit on heat? I know the shocks are on their way out....
