adjusting Koni Sports Suspension

Hi all, I'm trying to adjust a set of Koni 8041 1185 Sports, Koni website illustrates the use of a Koni knob to adjust these shocks. However I was wondering if it can be done safely with a shifting spanner?

(See attachment two) Can you adjust nut B with a spanner? If Yes, do I need to adjust nut A at all?

Any help appreciated?

Nut "B" is not a nut as such, it wont turn. to adjust the shock, turn the little tab on top of nut "B" with a shifter, in the direction indicated by the "Koni Knob"
