help needed.. headlight not working

my left headlight isn't working.. however the parkers and high beams are both working fine. any ideas? thanks.

Check the globe (which you probably already have!) Then check the Headlight fuse in the boot which is located near the battery.

I had the same problem on my R33 skyline last week!

You've checked the globe? Did you replace it with a known working one? sometimes you need a magnifying glass to see a break in the filliment. Could be a dadgy connection to the back of the head light. I cant comment whether skylines have a LH and RH fuse for the headlights because I haven't needed to check, but if theother ones working its normally a problem with the globe.

check the 2 20amp fuses in the boot for headlights.

replaced both fuses.. no go

i also tried several working bulbs with no success.. is it time to see an auto electrician?

put the switch on and check to see if you are geting power , if you are not it may be the switch on the steering , they do play up .

i'll try to get a multimeter to test it tomorrow. how do you get access to the switch to take it apart?

take the steering covers off and then you will see , i think 2 little bolts that hold it in place and a couple of plugs and you take the stalk out , very easy once you have the covers off .

I had similar problem, mine was flickering on and off.

Check the earth wire on that headlight. Make sure the connection is clean and corrosion free.

all fixed! cleaned the connectors and it works once again
