engine out , the only way to remove the sump , you cant do it on the car.

Not true. After talking to a few people off here, it was agreed its possible to support the engine in the engine bay, remove the gearbox and cross member. You can then take the sump off.

Mines going through this process next week, if you arnt in a rush ill tell you how it goes.

Yep I'm pretty sure you can do it engine in, you will need to take out gearbox and flywheel, remove subframe. So, still a big job but not hge.

well it is possible but by the time you take subframe off and you may have to remove the box to get to a couple bolts its much easier to remove the engine box assembly and do it on the bench much easier .
