What should this run?

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys

Going to take the GTR down to WSID in a few weeks for a run down the 1/4 mile , I've been doing abit of reading on these forums to try and work out what times the car should be roughly good for , I've seen some very differen't results though.

Basically the run down on the car is it's an r32 GTR with really no extra weight ( stero's and the like) , I have a dyno graph from the previous owner from when the PFC was installed and tuned at C&V which is for 275kw@all four wheels. In this form on a perfect run what should the car be able to do ? , I'm hoping for high 11's am I asking too much?. What would 275kw@at all four be in rwkw as I am a little confused on how it would be worked out seeing as it is not a constant 4wd (coming from a wrx back ground here) .

Also another thing with the car it has adjustable cam gears but they haven't been fiddled with yet and are at the stock setting's. If I'm chasing a decent 1/4 mile time should I be looking to get them adjusted for peak power , mid range , or low down . I know that last one might be a stupid question as I have my own thoery on what I should be looking at getting them adjusted for just wanted to check with the people who are in the know .

cheers

Brett

Thanks Brett. It's not as easy as it looks!

Provided ANDRA scrutineers pass the car with the front runners and slicks we should see a better ET with some decent traction. Here's hoping!

Finally got out there last night only got to have one run due to the rain coming down . First and only run was 12.3@111mph with the whole front splash tray bent down and dragging the track from about halfway. Little dissapointed with the trap speed but putting it down to the gravel tray for now . Car made 275rwkw at unigroup the week before I would say this power should be good enough to trap 115-117mph ??? what do you guys think.
