Alot of the aftermarket coilovers are noisy. If you look at all the rubber in the mounts for the factory items you'll understand why.

The aftermarket ones are usually minus all this.

The bolt that pokes through the hole in the top of the fender holds the shock strut and spring together. Don't touch it until after the assembly is out and the spring is compressed using your spring compressors.

There are 2 studs with nuts one on each side of the hole these you undo, then the one at the bottom holding the bottom of the strut. You may need to lever the wheel hub down and apply a little leverage to the bottom of the strut to pop it off.. The rear setup on Skylines is the same as the front
