Street car = a car that can go to the local BP for fuel and be used as often as you want without troubles and not get a yellow sticker when the cops pull you up plus have usable fuel economy and nice things like air con and full trim ,quietish exhaust and legal tyres just like ND4SPD -A car that sometimes does 1500ks a weekend.

When you say "we entered him in" are you a part owner of SST or ND4SPD or just a nut hugger that likes to talk big

so the choice of street tyres wasn't made by the owner or workshop? but its something you boast about quiet frequently as its a true street car hahaha guys get your stories straight, so in other words its only a true street car because you were made to run street tyres

Haha, maybe you should learn something before you shoot your mouth off;) I work with SST and ND4SPD, and they entered there cars with the team I put together. I was also the WA rep for Drag Combat, and therefore we decided to enter it as a workshop car to help promote SST, and seeing as it was the only GTR to run into the 10's then I think it served it's purpose very well:D

ND4SPD is a street driven car, and therefore wanted to be entered with street tyres, but once we had already won that category we thought we'd put some slicks on to see what times it would pull with them, seeing as the car was not going to be allowed to run again seeing as it broke 140mph. But our opponents had a cry so we never ran a pass on the slicks.

Thats fair enough I was only repeating what I've been told :) so I think I understand now, SST didn't build ND4SPD didn't build GOTBOOST but built yours and it ran a 13 sec pass is that right?

ND4PSD is owned and built by one of the owners of SST. SST tuned GOTBOOST, and mine has run a 12sec pass. So I guess that shows you know nothing:D

hahaha true true I know nothing :)

Though one thing I do know is I'm not a work shop always arguing the point to justify my insecurities and using other peoples cars to talk myself up

Ever wondered why we don't see Croydon Racing Developments on the forum argueing about what ecu is best or how their GTR ran 9.XXX its because they let thier actions speak for them and don't have to

one thing i know is that there is always someone bitching on here about other peoples times.

I was there at drag combat and seen nd4spd (in full street trim) run a 10.........Im currently building my car at the moment and its not a GTR is a GTS with a rb26 and hoping for about 700hp also going to be in full street trim as it is a show car and hoping to shut a few of you wannabes in here that think they know everything about dragging etc............

Thought the forum was here for people to show there times etc not a place to bag everyone out on there car because it run a 10...................and half off you people on this forum bitching arnt even close to that time so SHUT THE F**K UP

Anyone that drags their car is SOFT. :flamed:

Hell, you dont even know how to slow a car with the brake, so you run off and throw on a parachute :flamed:

Drag racing is for shielas....drag racing is for those that arent allowed to play in the sandpit anymore....drag racing is for the mentally defective... drag racing is for people that rely on electric toothbrushes to do a task as simple as cleaning ones teeth...drag racers drink cordial and Bacardi Breezers....DRAG RACERS ARE SOFT :flamed:

...it appears Drag Racers can take things a little too seriously

...it appears Drag Racers can take things a little too seriously

Yeah it would appear to be like that, circuit people have a good time and laugh at coming off the track:thumbsup:. I think one of the main reasons it that drag racing is professionally timed (well, there is some sort of standard) and that you can somewhat compare times done between two car's on tracks halfway around the world. No point in comparing lap times between Wakefield vs Phillip Island :)

And i respect that there is a higher level of competition amongst drag racers. But at the end of the day you are trying to get a car down a stretch of road quickly. If you can do a good job of it awesome, if you know where you can improve, hell even better.

If you are a workshop and make a living by seling/helping ppl build cars...cool. But i dont understand the angst. if you suspect someone is talking smack, then who cares, provided ppl arent running out and spending hard earned cash on false promises.

No point in comparing lap times between Wakefield vs Phillip Island

If they are my times then you can...also ran (ie slow) vs also ran (ie slow, actually should be DNF :) )

Sydneykid starts a bitch everytime we say anything as he must have a complex' date=' take a look back at the start of the raising revs in RB25 thread etc.[/quote']

    • You shouldn't need to massively fatten up the mixtures for cold conditions. For one thing - 0°C is not that cold. For another, the Haltech will be using the IAT sensor to tell it how dense the air air, and calculate the correct amount of fuelling. Then the cold start enrichment is added as a % on top of that, so it should scale with the main fuelling. You might also doubt the IAT sensor at this time. You're not using one from an RB26 are you? Using a nice Bosch sensor or similar? Happens. Some wideband units take great pleasure in killing their sensors. Put another wideband in the tailpipe and compare. Or just swap the sensor to a brand new one and see.
    • Oh, my misunderstand. When the car was running, it sounded ok, but if I gave it any gas it wanted to die but caught itself afterwards. It's very different from how it was a couple months ago when it was warmer outside. The logs show that the AFRs are better during, what I assume, is warmup enrichment. Because it's cold, and air is more dense, should I work on the enrichment bit?
    • yess of course im not using 2nd hand parts from my spare engine, but the place where i live is hard to find parts for the RB20DET ,but for the RB20E is everywhere including new ones and a lot cheaper ,because for the RB20DET you have to order it overseas to get one and it cost a lot of money 3x the price to be exact. so i ask this topic because if i can use the new ones but for RB20E is it compatible or not. if not im screwed haha, not totally screwed but i have to save a lot of money first before i can begin repairing my engine, thanks for the information before.
    • Unless my sensor just died, was only a couple months old, I strongly believe it didn't. How can I test it? I never mentioned it being 20:1+?
    • Well, you wouldn't use 2nd hand bearings out of another engine anyway....so just buying the proper bearings is obviously what you're going to do. The crankshaft would be common. The conrods might be common. There is essentially nothing else you would be able to use.
