Help with Greddy Profec B Spec II

Is anyone using the Profec B?

What settings are youz using?

I cant seem to get it to hold 14psi constantly.

Any help?

Might be that your wastegate actuator not being able to hold the wastegate shut

I think you have to play with the overboost settings on there. There is one that smooths out any creep and its important to get that right. If set correctly it shouldn't have any problems.

With the spec I just had to twiddle the "sharpness" knob until it behaved and held... as revs rose or fell. Spec II has a ricey display and has a different method of setting - anyhow, refer to the manual

Hi, I'm having similar issues.... I too have profec B spec 2.

The problem I'm having is one of spiking. Mine spikes at 4000rpm. But it holds boost.

If yours is not holding boost properly increase the gain.

I currently have mine set to 8psi on low and 10psi on high.

- hi = 48, lo = 24

- set gain is set to 60 on both.

- gain is set to 17% and 15%.

Can't remember what the actual boost % settings are.

and its running 10psi standard so i cant go any lower for my low boost setting which i would like to do

i might try getting a new actuator solenoid and see what happens???

Hi there,

I actually just recently found that it was spiking to 12 but holding 10psi.

See the attached dyno sheet.

But it holds the 10psi flat.

I have the stock turbo, and stock IC on an rb25DET, with full 3" exhaust.

settings

hi = 48%

gain = 15%

set gain = 60 (I think I have these 2 around the right way... the 60 is the spool)

Does anyone know how to get rid of the spike??

Wilch: tried reducing the set gain/start boost?

Maybe dropping it to 45-50 might help smooth it out.
