Very dodgy Ebay auction. Check this out!

Recommended Posts

I had a quick look around here in case someone else has noticed this auction. Click the link below.

It's a 2000 model R34 GTR, far from standard. Whn I emailed the guy I goy an email back with some story about him being overseas and needing to sell the car in a hurry. The reserve is AU$15,000! It has to be hot.

Does anyone know anything about this car?

Yeah I got the same dodgy email in return for my query too. I emailed him back telling him he was a scammer and wishing him good luck in finding an Aussie stupid enough to fall for his scam. I reckon he had another R34 GTR on there under a different name listed in a different state that he tried to sell me for $8700! It has mysteriously dissapeared though... Beware!

Yeah saw this yesterday :D COD sounds good to me haha

Says he'd prefer to make the deal in person....as he busts a cap in yo ass....and runs off with the loot :D

Then again how else would you buy a car? "leave the keys in the third bin from the corner on Ann st" :(

Get a REVS check done, if it's got a clear title and isn't stolen, why not make a bid on it!

Get's dodgier by the minute.

Another guy on there (Roguepi is his ID) alsways has some absolutely awesome parts listed yet most of his auctions are cancelled at the last minute.

I downloaded that picture a few weeks ago, not from ebay though it was from a Skylines Australia user

but it does not have the digital camera picture down the bottom

Very DODGEY maybe in house scam from user among us.......................................

Just a thought

i sent him a message asking if i offered him $90,000 if he would cancel the auction and sell to me and asking for his banking details so i can wire the money to him.

Waiting for his reply and to see if if he gives me his name and details :(

    • It's so pretty, but I cry at the price (this setup was about $7,500 USD)
    • Yep, I installed it, the sensors, wired everything up so things like the factory blinkers work etc. Fortunately it's not a hard job, just time consuming sorting the wiring out.  If you think this dash is nice, you should check out the actually sexy dashes lol. There would be a fair few people out there that think the IC7 is ugly.  The new and sexy Haltech dash -  https://www.haltech.com/news-events/uc-10dash/ Here is a, I hate having money option from Motec -  https://precisionracing.com.au/product/motec-c1212-display/
    • @Murray_Calavera ohhh.myyyy.gawwwwd 😍 that dash is so much cleaner.  yeah I’m someone who loves older cars, but hate using old tech. A digital dash would always be the way forward. Did you install that yourself?  Thanks for the explanation on oil pressure. I’ll just take it as reference.    Also, your engine light is on 😅😅😅
    • @DraftySquash Yeah... maybe think of those gauges as a super rough estimation of oil pressure and engine temperature.  If you want to see your actual engine temp and oil pressure, you're going to need an aftermarket solution. I'll post a photo of my dash, this is a much neater solution in this day and age. I can't think of any reason why someone would start adding individual gauges.  So grab your dash, then add sensors for all the extra things you want to see.  As for what to expect from oil pressure, super quick run down = cold oil, higher pressure. hot oil, lower pressure. Low revs, lower pressure. higher revs, higher pressure. The values will change based on the viscosity of oil used, the actual temperature of the oil, the type of oil pump used, then more nuanced stuff like clearances in the engine.
    • Should run up to about 6 or so at high revs. But the stock oil pressure gauge is a piece of shit and can't be trusted, so make few to no decisions based on what you see it do.
