for those of you who run without the coil cover (that bit between the cam covers) on an RB26, where / how do you attach the igniter?

Use one of the bolts that attach the igniter to plug cover and put it though the front drivers side hole it should line up with one of the threaded holes in the cam covers.You then have to get a bolt/washer/nut assembly that fits through the rear hole on drivers side to attach the earth.Paul....DIRTgarage.

Thanks paul, so the igniter is only bolted down on the driver's side with 2 bolts?

I only used one bolt with a spring washer into the threaded cover bolt hole as two.06l states above.

It's not very heavy and hasn't moved yet.

hmm i should do that to mine also, and my cover is permanently off and igniter is just sitting there

no we only screw it down with one bolt through the front hole. The bolt washer nut assembly is used to attach the earth to the body of the igniter through the other hole on drivers side. If car still runs you have done it properly.Cheers mate..Paul... DIRTgarage.
