funkymonkey
how come 31 dosen't have a number? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/49467-team-wang-phillip-island-report-and-pics/page/6/#findComment-993048 Share on other sites
Scotsman
Cause we didn't have a 31. Cause 31 drivers in Melb need to get their ass to the track. I took this photo and if you look closely you'll see I have added the larger numbers cause I didn't know if you would be able to see the smaller ones. SABBAi
Yeah I need to egt out on the track again. I was hoping to come down for the weekend, but someone had the fun job of replacing an exhaust manifold gasket and almost all of his ignition system..... I'm getting my ECU chipped, a set of King Springs Super lows, and a boost controller next month. Oh, I get my Slotted rotors, and my twin piston front calipers soon!!! And I'll finally be able to run some decent pads like EBC green stuff or something. :burnout: Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/49467-team-wang-phillip-island-report-and-pics/page/6/#findComment-994230 Share on other sites
Snowman
So Team - whats the plan for the next day out? Anyone keen for Phillip Island for 18-19/9? I know both me and Emre are. The AROCA Day at Sandown on the 19th is sold out already. We'll run the same risk with the HSV Club if we are slackers! BTW - I do know for a fact that the HSV Club will allow passengers in the mornings. Also - if anyone cares - the professional pics are up at www.sdpics.com Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/49467-team-wang-phillip-island-report-and-pics/page/6/#findComment-994460 Share on other sites

I am keen to take ur spotif you dont make it, and i am actually in freaking victoria on that weekend. Do you require a special license for PI? Roy
Snowman (I think he is the SAU-Vic CAMS delegate) will be able to hook you up with the required CAMS licence. You will have to become a member of SAU-VIC though. Membershiop is $50 odd, and licence is $92 odd and is valid for 12 months. Duncan
I'll be in for *any* track day organised before the end of October. With the Phillip island weekend, its a supersprint right? I'll need to borrow an extinguisher and tie down from someone to put in whatever hertz give me. Scotsman
I'll be there. Lets go for it. Any one got any ideas how I can replace the rubber boot on my shifter? I pulled the shifter out on the weekend and it seems that the boot is made around the shifter, cause I can't see how it would streatch over the top of the shifter or over the ball at the bottom. Geoff you got any suggestions on this? Also Roy make a date for R32 repairs. GTRgeoff
Yeah Roy, lets get it fixed and dot the HSV/MSCA weekend at PI. Chris, hunt around for a similar sized boot that will fit under the trim boot. Just have to stop the "bleeding". Roy
Duncan, this Wednesday September 1 there is a NDSOC (Nissan Datsun Sports Owners Club) meeting at the Whitehorse Inn, 5 Burwood Rd Hawthorn. Ill be there for a few shooies and a schnitzel...we can discuss perhaps going halvies in another Echo if my car isnt ready. Chris/Geoff im still waiting on the mechanic to get back to me about where i stand with my engine woes...ill call thenm again tomorrow. Im starting to think about how wise is it to use my old bottom end with another head...it is at least ripping th esump of my old engine and having a quick look at the condition.
