~low boost creap to 1Bar~

Hi Guys

I am having some trouble with my r33 on low boost the car is hitting the standard boost but when it comes to highter revs the boost creaps to a 1bar.

and on high boost it runs a little less than a bar but realy doesn't seem to have a much more power than standard boost!

I have a HKS boost controller, I turned off the unit and the car still did the same thing on low boost (crept to a bar). As I thought when the unit is off it will go back to standard boost.

what could be wrong?

Have you removed the standard boost controller/solenoid?

What it does, at standard boost, is hold 5psi till around 5000rpm then goes to 7psi

So if youre using a boost controller with all the factory boost controlling stuff still in place, then it will mimick the above.

You should get a oil catch can if boosting over 10psi, the older the engine the more blowby, eventually making oil get through everything

have the catch can, intercooler, safc2 ....but when the boost controler is switched off still does the same thing!

My dump pipe arrived today So we should be able to prove / disprove that theory soon...

Maybe a leak in the hose from the actuator?

Yea I have had problems in actutator lines as well - I always make doubly sure hose clamps are tight as
