Fuel smell

Hello, I discovered recently after turning the car off, the fuel cap area has this pssss noise, and petrol smell, I opened it up and open the internal cap, fewwww, a rush of gas came out for 1 sec. is this pressure normal? does it happen to your car as well?

i dont know why but my car smells on fuel inside everytime i drive it, cant put any chicks in it casue they smell like petrol sniffers after that so dont wanna touch them.

Might be the seal in the fuel cap which allows access to the fuel pump. I purchased a new one at nissen for about 20 dollars. When you undo the fuel cap after a trip it should go whoosh - if it doesn't you've got a leak

hmm, i may buy new one sometime and see if it rectifies it, yes my car does smell like petrol when idle!

On the topic of fuel smells, my r33 has a strong unburnt stink when i start it up, especially when cold. I was told it would be probably a leaky fuel line or a carbon canister that has been saturated with fuel due to tank being overfilled repeatedly. Any thoughts? And if it is the canister where would i get a replacement and how much are they worth?
