Getting Suspension Checked?

Hi, can anyone recommend me a place to get my suspension checked plus shocks etc. I live in melbourne and i want to take it to a decent place.

Im from Sydney and dont know too many places, but Centreline at Thomastown are really switched on.

They did wonders with my car just from going through what was already on the car....definitely worth a phone call to get a feel for them...but they are very switched on and wont automatically start to try and sell yoou $3,000 worth of Jap coil over as a cure for any problem.

Chris is the gu to speak to , and from what i hear/read they are slowly becvoming somewhat of an unofficial SAU suspension workshop and plenty of SAU-Vic guys go there. I dotn recommend places unless im confident they both know what they are on about and dotn rip ppl off, two very important things.

I had a wheel allignment checked by Pedders. All in all one very expensive excercise. Said nothing was wrong with my car, and charged me $110 for the privlige. Nice blokes there, but price seems bit rich. Been told you can expect to pay double by going to there.

But i didnt trust my car with franchises such as beaurepairs or kmart tyre auto. They just seem to be a bunch of apprentices working there, and too many horror stories.

It's a ways from Werribee, but Andrew at Traction Tyres in Rowville is pretty good.

Centreline or Traction Tyres would be my suggestions in Melbourne, both Andrew and Chris know their stuff.

I have heard good stories about traction in Rowville.

Never been or heard of centerline but its a lot closer to me than Rowville.

And I can understand the comment about a$$holes trying to sell $3,000 coil overs as a solution to a problem.

Where i used to take my car to, they put my car up on the hoist and the front strut fell out.

They said that it was unfixable and I would need new coil overs in the front and wou;ld be a good idea to do the rears at the same time.

I was a little apprehensive to give the go ahead so I took it elsewhere for a second opinion.

The problem? Strut top rubber had shit itself, bought a new pair for about $200 and all is fine.

Far cry from a new set of coil overs!
