Custom roof lining.

I saw a fair few cars at AutoSalon with custom roof linings, like spider webs or their registration numbers etc moulded into the roof lining...

As ricey as it is, how much does it cost to get this done?

it will cost a couple hundred just to take the roof lining out then another couple hundred to retrim it.

i havnt had that done but my whole interior is gettin re trimmed in leather and suede i stripped it all myself.

what im getting done is worth 10K all up

its not that hard to take the roof lining out, a weekends worth of work... with lots of pauses so you could save yourself a few quid if you did all that yourself and took it down to the upholsterer.

thats why i stripped my interior myself ive done it many times so i know it back to front and i can do it quicker than the trimmer could.

i can get my interior out in 3 hours MAX, just havent taken the roof lining out! worst thing is how do you get it out of the car?? looks too wide to fit through the doorway!

yea took me about 3 hours including all the stereo, wiring and everything

so how did you remove the actual lining on the roof? it's reinforced with ply, how does that come out?

gentle persuasion its a pain in the ass but it will come out eventually
