fusible link

Just going back to an old topic here but came across a discrepancy regarding the fusible link, i had been told by an auto electrician in the past that you’ll only find the one coming off the positive but when i consulted a friend that works at NISSAN i was to discover that another must come off the negative terminal as well. Dose anyone know for sure if it’s just the one or if there is a second one coming of the negative?

Never seen one hanging off the -ve. (Why wait until the current has passed through everything before blowing a fuse?)

Thanks that’s what I thought (it wasn’t blowing fuses but the actual fuse link itself was getting hot due to the previous owner tampering with it, this was causing the link to play up with electricals)
