Normally, when you travel over about 20 km/hr the door's automatically lock.

I found this annoying so decided to remove this function.

Firstly, remove the glovebox, theres about 4-6 screws holding it in and clips on the left hand side, be careful not to break them.

You will see a black box on the left hand side, this controls the central locking.

To make sure you have the right box, trigger the central locking and you will hear a clicking noise coming from the box.

Cut the green wire going into the box as shown in the picture.

All done!

Put the box and glovebox back together again.

Thanks to MadYeti on SDU for the information on which wire to cut.

I DO have a viper alarm... you could be right.... At the moment the siren goes off it's banana unless you have the disable key in it.... washed the engine bay out this morning, must have some kind of short... hopefully it will clear eventually!

definately doesn't lock here at any speed, and as far as I can tell, there are no wires cut anywhere, and I've been in the door well too, and nothing cut there.

I would like it to lock at 25km and lock when key removed if anyone knows how to get it to this without it being a function of an aftermarket alarm :(

series 2 - locks about 5 seconds after the ignition turns on! i'm used to it... it unlocks when you turn the motor off, do the series 1 do that too?

I have a series 1 and it locks both doors after 20k's or so and when the ignition is turned off it only unlocks the drivers door.

I have a bit of shit i take to work with me and instead of dragging my bag out of the drivers door i go around to the passenger side and ge it, i have to arm and dis-arm the alarm every time coz i forget to unlock the passenger door before i get out.
