Hey if the single wiper doesnt chatter all over the windscreen when im doin 180km/h + in the wet, then im all for one.

Try driving with a few ks on board in the wet and you will find the std twin setup leaves you flying blind, welll it does on my R32...so ppl can laugh all they want, but IF they work better then do it (IF)

i thnk the idea of single wiper is not merely weight saving. c'mon what's a couple kg gonna do to a 300-400hp car?

perhaps the idea is from the jgtc track where a single wiper reduce aerodynamic drag and this is important when you're blasting down the main straight at 300km/h

i think as long as the wiper covers a certain minimum of windscreen area it would be roadworthy. cant remember what the minimum requirement is, gotta calculate it from the radius which i dont think no one would bother doing except perhaps the compliancer.

As far as I know it has to cover 85% of the windscreen. The new Mercs have fairly high windscreens, so one large wiper can cover the necessary amount.

I know that Cobra kit cars etc are supposed to have three wipers because their windscreens are so low, but they have exemption (in SA at least) because three wipers would look retarded.

Yeah, www.v-opt.co.jp stickers are for D1 competition, and I believe that cars that have appeared in Drift Tengoku are asked to put one on their car.

So unless your car has been in Option Video, I wouldn't put one on. Seeing a v-opt sticker on an Australian car would be embarrassing.

so both nark and serious seven can legitimately put them on their cars? hehe

btw rezz, you can buy the sticker from the guys at option (last few pages of the mag gives you a lil form to order it with)... so i'm guessing there's guys in japan running around with that sticker who haven't been on option videos.
