Recommended Posts

i've got a set of nuts in my drawers...

no seriously in my filing cabinet there's a set of ray's nuts that got sent to us for some reason from the aussie distributors.. they're not that badly priced either, got some other stuff from em... eg $10 per centre cap is pretty cheap  i'll see if they're available for sale

funkymonkey,

Mate when you say centre cap could it be the same as what I was talking about before... the dust cover that covers all the nuts. Ie. the disc that goes over the top.

I am trying to find a black Rays one with a cursive "R" in the centre.

Sorry didn't read this guys post - yeah agreed, these guys are acting like they are doing some stage 3 weight reduction by installing lightweight 'wheel bolts'

lol! I've seen it all, can someone please outline me the performance benefit form saving 8oz (what? ~200g?) per wheel of unsprung weight on a street registered car? I've got volks and I'm gonna weigh my steel nuts to make sure I'm not missing out on this obvious way to slash my times!

rice and nuts...isn't that a biryani?

Funkymonkey: Did you have any luck finding the wheel nuts?

So far I've been to:

Nissan

Bursons

Autobarn

Superpov Auto

Beurepairs

Bob Jane

Repco

Tons of other wheel/tyre places.

Nobody has them!!! They're not the standard ones as I'm using spacers with my wheels.

  • 2 months later...

I spoke to Stamford Tyres today, and they are the official distributor for Volk. They also sell Rays products direct to the public.

The Rays Duraluminum nuts comes in a short and long form: short is ~$200 and long is ~$250. I am not sure of the exact difference in length, nor which ones are needed :P

LW.
